Strengthening the Multisectoral Approach in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, and HPV in the Dschang Health District

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Health For Nation (HFN) participated in a strategic briefing session focused on the implementation of a multisectoral approach to combat HIV/AIDS, syphilis, and human papillomavirus (HPV) in the Dschang Health District.

This meeting marked a pivotal step in coordinating efforts among public, private, and community stakeholders to deliver an integrated, sustainable, and inclusive health response.

HFN’s Commitment to Community-Based Response

As a committed sectoral actor, HFN will conduct targeted awareness and health education sessions in schools and households within the Fialah-Foréké Health Area. These activities aim to:

  • Enhance knowledge among youth and families regarding the modes of transmission and prevention of HIV, syphilis, and HPV;
  • Promote voluntary and early testing;
  • Encourage responsible and protective behaviors.

HFN will carry out these interventions in close collaboration with the Head of the Health Area, ensuring alignment with local priorities and the Ministry of Health’s guidelines

Community Impact and the Value of Public-Private Partnerships

This initiative provides a tangible example of the vital role that public-private partnerships play in advancing community health development. By uniting the efforts of public health structures, civil society organizations, and private partners like HFN, it becomes possible to:

  • Expand healthcare coverage to remote or vulnerable areas;
  • Maximize the impact of awareness campaigns through proximity-based approaches;
  • Strengthen local capacities for a sustained fight against communicable diseases.

Such cross-sector collaboration helps build more resilient, inclusive, and community-responsive health systems.
